Jason Parker – MOT Tester, Mechanic

Jason started his career in motor vehicle mechanical repairs in 1985 as a very young man because of a simple need: he wanted help his dad. He just liked anything to do with engines! His first full time job was in 1988 where he was responsible for Hackney pre-inspections on Taxis and small mini buses.

Jason came to work for Uncle Tom’s as a semi skilled mechanic in 1996 where he was trained as a fully skilled mechanic and later became a qualified MOT tester. Having worked for the company for more than 14 years, he is well versed on how we like things done.

During his time at Uncle Toms Jason’s willingness to learn is unquestionable. In his spare time he personally took extra training courses to learn more about specific vehicle types including Vauxhall, VW/Audi resulting in a higher than average technical and mechanical knowledge versus most fully skilled mechanics/technicians.

Jason is computer literate and is qualified in computor diagnostics.
